Agent Skills (Addy Osmani)
addyosmani/agent-skillsReviewed by Radar
What it does
Agent Skills is a collection of 25 instruction files ("skills"), 9 slash commands and 4 reviewer roles for AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and Copilot. Each skill is a plain-text checklist the assistant follows, for example writing a spec before code, testing first, or reviewing security before release. It is for programmers who already use an AI coding assistant. You add it with one or two commands inside the assistant, or with npx skills add. The skills are free, but the assistant that reads them usually needs a paid plan.
How easy it is to install
C · install 1 or 2 tools · Windows
You need an AI coding assistant already installed, then run one or two commands such as /plugin marketplace add addyosmani/agent-skills and /plugin install agent-skills@addy-agent-skills (or npx skills add, which needs Node.js).

Risk signals (2)
- Infoplugin includes hooks
README.md project structure: "Claude Code adapter | `.claude/commands/` (9 commands), `.claude-plugin/`, `hooks/` | Slash-command wrappers, marketplace metadata, and lifecycle hooks". Hooks run automatically during assistant sessions.
AI review
- Infoautonomous build mode
README.md: "`/build auto` generates the plan and implements every task in a single approved pass — you approve the plan once, then it runs autonomously."

What Radar could not check
- Whether the skills actually change the assistant's results on a real project.
- What the bundled Claude Code hooks do in each session.
- How much extra AI usage the longer workflows consume on a paid plan.
- How well each assistant other than Claude Code picks up the commands on Windows.
