What it does
DigUp searches the folders you choose by what your files contain, not just their names. Describe what you want, like "a dog on the beach" or "where they talk about sleep", and it finds the photo, PDF page, document, or the moment in an audio or video file. It uses Google's EmbeddingGemma 2 AI model, which runs on your own computer; the model is an 865 MB download on first start. The Mac version is the main one; Windows and Linux versions are marked beta. The first indexing pass can take hours on a large photo library without a fast graphics card.
