What it does
Reylo is a TypeScript library for developers. You write a query in a .sql file, import it like any other module, and the editor and the compiler know which columns and types come back, with no generated files to keep in sync. It reads the shapes from your own development database (Postgres, MySQL or SQLite) while TypeScript checks your code, and you run the query with the database driver you already use. It needs Node 24, a beta release of TypeScript 7.1 for the content-mapper feature it is built on, and a running development database. It is at version 0.6.0.
How easy it is to install
E · developers only · Windows
There is nothing for an end user to open: it is an npm package for TypeScript projects that needs Node 24, a beta compiler (typescript@beta, 7.1), changes to tsconfig.json and a development database it can read your schema from.

Risk signals (3)
- Attentionruns code during type check
README: "type-check with `--runExternalCode`, which lets `tsc` run content mappers"; package.json registers the mapper as `["node", "src/mapper.ts"]`, so type-checking runs that program and it connects to the database in DATABASE_URL.
AI review
- Infodepends on unreleased typescript
README Setup: "TypeScript 7.1 (currently in beta). The first release with content mappers." package.json pins "typescript": "^7.1.0-dev.20260918.1".

What Radar could not check
- Whether the Windows setup works as smoothly as the documented Node and Bun ones.
- What happens when the development database it reads differs from the database the code later runs against.
- How much the extra type-checking step slows down a large project.
- How stable the types stay when TypeScript 7.1 leaves beta and the content-mapper feature changes.
