Lemo OpusCar

lemomo-ai/lemo-opuscarReviewed by Radar

What it does

Lemo-Opuscar is a plugin for Claude Code (Anthropic's coding assistant) that makes short films without a video AI model. You pick one of 59 styles, such as watercolor, ukiyo-e or 1920s newsreel, describe your story, and the assistant writes code that draws each frame, builds the music, adds a text-to-speech voice and mixes the video. You can also create and keep your own style. It is tuned for Claude Opus 5.5. You need Claude Code, Node 20+, Python 3.11+ and ffmpeg, and the README says each film takes 30 to 60 minutes and a fair amount of tokens.

How easy it is to install

D · terminal, several tools or a specific graphics card · Windows

You install the plugin with two terminal commands, but you also need Claude Code, Node 20+, Python 3.11+ and ffmpeg, and the agent installs further packages and sample libraries itself.

    automatic check

  • Infodownloads and updates at run time

README.md: "On first use it downloads the guides, tools and style prompts to ~/lemo-opuscar", "the library in ~/lemo-opuscar updates itself on the next film" and "the agent installs the rest". What runs on your computer can change after you install it.

    AI review

  • Infomodel specific results

README.md: "Built for Claude. The styles are tuned for Claude Opus 5.5; other models may not reproduce them well, so use them with care."

    AI review

  • Infosome demo audio not reusable

README.md Licence: "Three voice tracks are not CC BY 4.0 ... They are excluded from the licence above. Don't reuse them" (macOS system voices, Microsoft Edge TTS and Doubao TTS). Third-party assets in demos keep their own licences.

What Radar could not check

  • Whether it works on Windows: the setup and download helpers are shell scripts (setup.sh, fetch.sh).
  • Real token cost and time for one film.
  • Exactly what the agent downloads and installs on first use and on later self-updates.
  • Disk use after voice models (Kokoro, Whisper) and music sample libraries are downloaded.
  • How good the films look with models other than Claude Opus 5.5.
  • Whether the Chinese voice option (edge-tts, online) sends your script text to Microsoft's service.
