Agent Reach
Panniantong/Agent-ReachReviewed by AI
Radar found strong risk signals in this project. It stays visible so you can read the evidence, but it is left out of rankings and recommendations.
What it does
Agent Reach is a single command you install on your computer so an AI assistant such as Claude Code can look things up on sites it normally cannot reach. It searches and reads posts, profiles, job ads, video subtitles and stock quotes, and hands the result back as tidy data. For sites that need an account it runs its own background browser and copies the login for that one site out of your Chrome. It only reads; it never posts. You install it from the terminal and the main documentation is in Chinese.
How easy it is to install
C · install 1 or 2 tools · Windows
- Windows C
- macOS C
- Linux C
Same on all three systems: there is no installer or ready binary, so you install the `uv` helper and run the install steps from the terminal (the README suggests pasting a link and letting your AI assistant run the commands for you). Afterwards each site that needs an account has its own sign-in step, such as scanning a QR code for Bilibili subtitles.

The README's platform table marks twitter, facebook and instagram as 实验: "能用,但平台反爬更严,可能随时失效" (they work, but those platforms fight automated access harder and it can stop working at any time), and the Security section says "建议用小号登录。复用过来的通常是主账号,而平台可能限制自动访问的账号。" (use a throwaway account; the reused login is usually your main one, and platforms may restrict accounts that access them automatically). The first time it uses a site it "会把你 Chrome 里这个网站的登录复制一份过去" — it copies your Chrome login for that site into its own browser. Reading logged-in pages on X, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Xiaohongshu and Boss this way, instead of each platform's official API, is something several of these platforms limit in their terms of service, and accounts used this way can be restricted.

- Attentioncopies your browser login
README: "第一次用某个网站时,会把你 Chrome 里这个网站的登录复制一份过去" — the first time it uses a site it copies your Chrome login for that site into its own browser profile. It says it does not read your password store and leaves the original browser alone, but it does take a working session for sites such as Xiaohongshu, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Boss.
AI review
- Attentionautomated access against site rules
The project reads logged-in pages on X, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Xiaohongshu and Boss (README table), and depends on `yt-dlp` (pyproject.toml) for video and audio. Most of these sites forbid automated collection in their terms. The README says so itself: "平台可能限制自动访问的账号" — platforms may restrict accounts that access them automatically — and advises using a throwaway account rather than your main one.
AI review
- Attentioninstall by letting ai run remote instructions
The quick start is to tell your assistant: "帮我安装 Agent Reach: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/.../docs/install.md", and to switch on "允许它执行命令" (allow it to run commands). The steps that get run come from a file fetched at that moment, and optional channels "需要的软件会自动装好" — install their own extra software, including third-party command-line tools credited in the README (bili-cli, boss-agent-cli, OpenCLI).
AI review
- Attentionsame name package elsewhere is not this project
README warning: "PyPI 上叫 `agent-reach` 的包不是本项目,请勿从 PyPI 安装" — the package called `agent-reach` on PyPI is not this project and must not be installed. Someone searching the usual way can install the wrong thing.

- Infovery fast star growth
106306 stars and 9431 forks for a repository created on 2026-02-24 with 8 releases, carrying a Trendshift "#1 Repository of the Day" badge. The README also has a "防骗提醒" section saying the project has no token, coin or wallet and that crypto projects using its name are unrelated.
AI review
- Infopaid sponsors in readme
The README's sponsor table carries referral links to paid proxy and scraping services (Bright Data, RapidProxy, BrowserAct, CoreClaw, AstraFlow) while the project description promises "zero API fees".
AI review
- Infodepends on sites that change
README marks twitter, facebook and instagram as "实验" (experimental): "能用,但平台反爬更严,可能随时失效" — they work, but those sites fight automated access harder and the feature can stop working at any time.

What Radar could not check
- Whether each of the 14 sites still works today, since the project itself says features break when a site changes
- Exactly what is copied out of your Chrome profile and what the private browser keeps on disk
- Whether using it gets your account on any of those sites limited or closed
- What the install file and the per-channel third-party tools do at the moment they are downloaded and run
- Real disk use once the private browser and each channel's tools are installed
- The real cost of speech-to-text, which depends on your Groq or OpenAI usage
