What it does
Impeccable is a pack of design instructions and 24 commands you install inside AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Copilot. After installing you type things like /impeccable audit or /impeccable polish and the assistant reviews or improves the look of your web pages. It also ships a command-line checker with 62 fixed rules that scans files or a website address with no AI and no key, and a Chrome extension that shows the same findings on any page. It is for people who already build websites with an AI assistant; you need Node installed to run the installer.
How easy it is to install
C · install 1 or 2 tools · Windows
- Windows C
- macOS C
- Linux C
On every system it is the same work: Node 18+ (package.json "engines": {"node": ">=18.19.0"}), then `npx impeccable install` in a terminal, then `/impeccable init` inside your AI coding tool before anything happens. There is no installer in the releases, only the engine binaries the skill uses internally.

Risk signals (5)
- Attentionhooks run outside model approval
README.md "Good to know": "Hooks run outside model approval. In Claude Code, installed command hooks run even when you deny the model's own commands, so the first edit can download the engine. Review installed hooks before unattended runs, or pass `--settings '{"disableAllHooks": true}'` to turn them off for a run."
AI review
- Attentiondownloads a program at run time
README.md Installation: "The skill itself runs a self-contained engine binary that ships next to it or downloads once into `~/.impeccable/bin/`." package.json ships `skill/scripts/engine-checksums.txt` for that download.
AI review
- Attentioncontacts the vendor even with telemetry off
README.md "Telemetry": "When a new design starts, the skill fetches a set of visual directions from the impeccable.style catalog. Turning telemetry off doesn't stop that request; it stops the anonymous record of which directions were shown and which one you picked." It adds that "Your project name, files, code, and `PRODUCT.md` are never sent" and that you disable the record with `npx impeccable telemetry off`, `DO_NOT_TRACK=1` or `"telemetry": false`.

- Infowrites into your coding tools settings
README.md Installation: "The installer detects your coding tools, asks whether to install for this project or globally, and offers the design hook where your tool supports one." The repository carries a settings folder for each supported tool (.claude/, .cursor/, .codex/, .github/, .gemini/, .grok/, .hermes/ and more).

- Inforuns a project script in your shell
README.md Live mode: "Applying copy edits runs your `package.json`'s optional `impeccable:manual-edit-validate` script with your permissions, so review it before using live mode in an unfamiliar repo."

What Radar could not check
- Whether the installer and the downloaded engine really work on a normal Windows setup
- What the impeccable.style catalog request actually sends and stores, beyond what the README describes
- Whether the engine downloaded on first run matches the checksums shipped with the skill
- How good the design results are in practice, since the 62 detector rules only check fixed patterns
- Whether the hook slows down your coding tool on every file edit
