Orca

What it does
Orca is a desktop app for running coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Grok or OpenCode side by side. Each agent works in its own git worktree, so you can send one prompt to several of them and compare the results, with a built-in editor, terminals, a browser, and GitHub and Linear views in the same window. A phone app lets you watch and answer agents while you are away. It is for developers: you install the agents yourself and use your own subscriptions. Ready installers exist for Windows, macOS and Linux.
How easy it is to install
C · install 1 or 2 tools · Windows
- Windows C
- macOS C
- Linux C
All three systems have ready installers (orca-windows-setup.exe, .dmg, AppImage, .deb, .rpm, Homebrew cask and the AUR), and the README says the Windows build is code-signed through SignPath. The grade stays at C because Orca only drives agents you install yourself: 'Works with any CLI agent — if it runs in a terminal, it runs in Orca', so you still install something like Claude Code or Codex and log into it in a terminal.

- Attentionagents act on your computer
README: 'Computer Use — Let agents operate desktop apps and visible UI when a workflow needs real interaction', and the Orca CLI exposes 'orca worktree create, snapshot, click, and fill' so agents can drive Orca itself. Agents also get terminals, your files and git worktrees.

- Attentiontelemetry on unless you opt out
README 'Community & Support': 'See the privacy & telemetry docs for what anonymous usage data Orca collects and how to opt out.'
AI review
- Attentionphone control through a relay
README 'Developing': 'The relay that pairs the mobile app with a desktop host is also in this repository under cloud/', so steering your agents from the phone goes through a paired relay service.

- Infoandroid app installed from a website
README 'Mobile Companion': iOS comes from the App Store, but Android is an 'Android APK' downloaded from www.onorca.dev/download/android with its own install guide, not from Google Play.
AI review
- Infofast releases and large issue backlog
GitHub facts: 994 releases and 7873 open issues for a repository created on 2026-03-17, and the README says 'we ship daily, so this list is perpetually behind.' The package.json still reads version 1.4.214 while the latest release is v1.4.245.
AI review
- Infoconfusable package name
README install notes: 'Always use the full name; bare `orca` is an unrelated Plotly cask', for 'brew install --cask stablyai/orca/orca'.

What Radar could not check
- Whether each listed agent really works, and with which versions
- What the telemetry sends and what the pairing relay sees of your code
- What you end up paying for the agent subscriptions behind it
- How much memory several agents in parallel need on your machine
- Whether the macOS and Linux builds are signed, since only Windows signing is mentioned
