What it does
AnyPS5 is an early-stage tool that converts a PS5 game's executable into a native Windows or Linux program and supplies its own versions of the PS5 system libraries, so the game runs without an emulator. Graphics shaders are translated for Vulkan, and game controllers, keyboard and mouse are supported. You must supply the PS5 game files yourself; the project includes none. Release downloads include a relinker .exe and library packs for Windows and Linux, and there is a web converter. Which games work is tracked per title in GitHub discussions.
How easy it is to install
C · install 1 or 2 tools · Windows
Windows binaries (relinker .exe and a library pack) are on GitHub Releases, but you need the PS5 game files, must run the conversion and set up the libraries following the usage guide, and per-game support is only reported in discussions.

The tool only works on PS5 game executables (description: "Tool for automatic PS5 executables porting to Linux and Windows"), which it does not supply; the README says it does not "require copyrighted software, firmware, cryptographic keys" and that "Users are responsible for ensuring that any binaries used with this project are obtained and used in accordance with applicable laws". A game's program can normally only be copied off a PS5 with a modified console, which many countries restrict by law, and the README leaves it to the user to make sure the files are obtained legally.

README: "Unsupported or unexpected states strictly throw `std::runtime_error`. `what()` is printed to stderr and the process terminates." The library count covers only "the functions known to the project so far".

What Radar could not check
- Which PS5 games actually start and are playable after conversion.
- What the converted program does on the PC, since it runs the game's own code natively.
- Whether the web converter really keeps files on your device as the README says.
- Graphics card and Vulkan driver requirements for converted games.
- The legal status of dumping and converting PS5 games in the user's country.
