CADCraft

What it does
CADCraft is a computer-aided design app that works like AutoCAD: you type commands, snap to points and use layers, dimensions, hatches and blocks. It opens and saves DXF and DWG files and exports PDF, SVG and PNG. It is for drafters, architects, engineers and hobbyists who want a free CAD tool, and AI agents can drive it too. Windows has signed installers; macOS and Linux builds also exist. The project is in early development, and parts of a drawing it does not understand yet are dropped when you save.
How easy it is to install
A · download and open · Windows
Each release ships code-signed Windows .msi installers and portable .zip files for x64, arm64 and x86 (about 50–60 MB), so you download and open it.

What Radar could not check
- How faithfully real-world DWG files from AutoCAD open and save without losing content.
- Whether the app starts on every Windows graphics driver; the README describes crashes with some AMD drivers and a workaround.
- How close it is to AutoCAD for daily professional work, beyond the feature list in the README.
- Whether the downloaded installers match the published source code.
